FORT TEJON, CA (February 22, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road led to injuries.
The incident happened at about 2:50 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road. Reports confirmed that the incident involved two semi-trucks and a van.
According to CHP, a semi-truck went off the road and into the embankment. Then, another rolled over and spilled 1000 boxes of coffee creamer. Also, the second vehicle leaked oil and fuel onto the road.
Also, a van around 100 feet from the embankment landed upright.
As a result, the driver sustained minor to moderate injuries. Also, 300 feet of guard rail were damaged.
Furthermore, the crash led to a long-term closure and authorities advised drivers to avoid the area.
