Injuries Reported in 91 Freeway 8-Vehicle Collision [Cerritos, CA]

Cerritos, CA (March 20, 2022) On Friday, several people were injured in the 91 Freeway 8-vehicle collision.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the 8-car crash happened at around 2 a.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway at Bloomfield Avenue.

Authorities say that the crash started with 2 cars colliding with one of them overturning.

Furthermore, cars swerved to avoid the crash, eventually becoming part of the wreck.

According to the CHP, the accident caused all westbound lanes to be shut down, debris fields blocked were strewn across the road, 2 vehicles overturned.

Moreover, even the eastbound lanes were involved when debris was thrown into it.

Meanwhile, the crash seriously injured one patient. Paramedics assessed other patients onsite.

The CHP is conducting an investigation to find out what caused the crash.

Officials reopened all lanes at about 3 a.m.
