Lamorinda Multi-Vehicle Crash Results to Injuries
LAMORINDA, CA (February 16, 2019) – Minor Injuries were sustained after a multi-vehicle crash on westbound Highway 24 near the Camino Pablo off-ramp at around 5:11 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials said the crash, which involved five vehicles, caused traffic to back up on Highway 24 with all lanes being blocked. The vehicles involved were on the shoulder, and it took a few moments to get all five towed away from the scene. Residual slowing of traffic was experienced in the area.
Officials advised everyone to allow extra space between vehicles and slow down to an appropriate speed. This was due to the treacherous driving conditions caused by the rain. Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, and the North Bay were reported with roadway flooding.
When driving, it is important to follow all driving laws and the conditions of the road. If you see any car or driver that look dangerous, keep your distance. If you see a car weaving in and out of the lanes, following too closely, or traveling at a higher rate of speed, move over a few lanes and get out of their way. By driving in a safe in a legal manner, you can help prevent accidents which may have devastating consequences for you and for others.
