Injuries Reported in 2-Car Collision on Third Street [Chico, CA]

Chico, CA (July 24, 2023) – On Sunday morning, injuries were reported following a 2-car collision on Third Street and Broadway.

Chico Fire Department officers said the collision sheered a fire hydrant causing water to spew out.

Immediately, the medical team responded to the scene and treated two people who sustained minor injuries at the accident scene.

Chico Fire stated that downtown businesses were protected from water damage. Luckily, the firefighters were able to shut off the water before flooding could impact the area.

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the incident.
