Car Crashes into Tree in Willits Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Ryan Creek Road
WILLITS, CA (December 8, 2024) – Saturday night, a startling vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Ryan Creek Road led to injuries.
The incident occurred at around 7:44 0.m. on Highway 101 near Ryan Creek Road.
A vehicle crashed into a tree, leaving one occupant trapped inside. Another individual, described as a female, was outside the vehicle and seated near the roadway when first responders arrived.
At 7:52 p.m., a Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputy reported being on the scene, where all lanes were blocked as crews worked to free the trapped individual. Fire personnel provided updates as the situation progressed.
An ambulance responded, and both individuals reportedly sustained only minor injuries.
By 8:29 p.m., the CHP reported that the vehicle had been moved into the southbound lane, with one-way traffic in effect. The occupants were transported to Howard Hospital in Willits.
