SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 2, 2024) – Friday night, a startling truck crash on West Avenue and Interpark Boulevard led to no major injuries.

The crash occurred at about 11:36 pm at the intersection of West Avenue and Interpark Boulevard.

Reports said that an officer driving northeast in a marked patrol car crashed with a white Ram pickup truck driving southeast on Wood Valley Boulevard. Then, it turned into Interpark Boulevard at the intersection.

According to a witness, a white truck ran a red light and collided with an officer’s vehicle, which had the right of way with a green light. The truck then crashed head-on into a telephone pole.

Fortunately, no major injuries were reported. Both drivers declined medical treatment and were not taken to the hospital by emergency services.

Police evaluated the truck driver at the scene for driving under the influence (DUI) and determined there was no intoxication involved. At this time, no criminal charges are expected to be filed.
