Injuries Reported in Disastrous Traffic Crash on Interstate 5 [Tehama County, CA]

Lanes Blocked in Tehama County Auto Accident on Interstate 5

TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (March 14, 2024) – On Wednesday, authorities reported injuries following a disastrous traffic crash on Interstate 5.

The incident happened on northbound Interstate 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound 2017 Chevy Equinox struck a northbound 2023 Ram pickup for still unknown reasons. Then, the debris from the crash struck a southbound 2023 Cadillac Escalade while the Chevy Equinox struck a guardrail, crossed lanes back to the left, and collided with a northbound 2024 Ford Transit Van.

Moreover, responders transported one person to a hospital with injuries unrelated to the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
