Injuries Reported in Disastrous Traffic Crash on Highway 201 and Road 84 [Tulare County, CA]

Lanes Blocked in Tulare County Auto Accident on Highway 201 and Road 84

TULARE COUNTY, CA (January 10, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a disastrous traffic crash on Highway 201 and Road 84 led to injuries.

The incident happened at around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 201 at Road 84.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound Mazda struck an eastbound Honda that turned in the direct path of the Mazda. Then, the force of the crash pushed both vehicles to veer off the roadway and into the west dirt shoulder.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver of the Honda and three of its passengers sustained major injuries in the crash. Then, paramedics airlifted the front side passenger of the Honda to a Fresno Hospital for treatment. Also, a passenger of the Mazda sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Furthermore, officers believe that alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
