Injuries Reported in Cessna Plane Crash near Van Nuys Airport [Van Nuys, CA]

Van Nuys, CA (November 15, 2024) – A man and a woman were injured following a Cessna plane crash near Van Nuys airport Thursday morning.

It was about 7:10 a.m. when the aircraft accident happened near the 15300 block of West Burbank Boulevard.

Responding firefighters located the small aircraft down in a field in the Sepulveda basin. 

Officers said the Cessna was upside down and did not catch fire.

The aircraft’s occupants, a man and a woman, have exited the vehicle safely. They were examined by the medical team and neither appear to have life-threatening injuries.

Both refused hospital treatment.

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the collision.
