Drivers Injured in National City Vehicle Crash
National City, CA (July 02, 2021) – On Friday, drivers were injured in Highland Avenue head-on crash.
Officers said an Infinity male driver was northbound on Highland Avenue. He ran the red light on purpose due to being late to a dental appointment.
Unfortunately, he struck an elderly male who was westbound on 30th Street in the Toyota pickup and sent his vehicle spinning.
Afterwards, the Infinity then struck the male driver of the Nissan head-on who was waiting for his light to turn green.
Later on, the Infinity caught fire and the firefighters quickly put the fire out.
Right away, rescuers took the truck driver to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Similarly, the Infinity driver sustained a broken elbow/arm and an ankle. He was transported to a local hospital.
