Lanes Blocked in Santa Clarita Auto Accident on Highway 14 near Via Princessa
SANTA CLARITA, CA (September 18, 2024) – Monday morning, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Highway 14 near Via Princessa led to injuries.
The incident happened around 3:55 a.m. on Highway 14, south of Via Princessa.
According to CHP Newhall Area Office spokesman Josh Greengard, a Nissan Altima struck a disabled tan 2000 Honda sedan. Then, another Honda sedan sideswiped the disabled tan 2000 Honda sedan.
Responding paramedics rushed the driver of the tan Honda sedan to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with major injuries.
The crash blocked all lanes of Highway 14 but has long since reopened.
Officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
