FAIRFIELD, CA (October 13, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a disastrous 6-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Travis Boulevard led to injuries.

The incident happened just before 4:00 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near Travis Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) later confirmed that six vehicles were involved in the accident, resulting in one person suffering major injuries. Authorities did not disclose whether any additional individuals were injured. CHP stated that DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the collision, and no arrests were made.

The incident caused significant traffic delays in the area; however, by 8 a.m., CHP traffic maps showed no signs of ongoing issues.
