Two Separate Accidents Reported near Smokey Bear Road
LEBEC, CA (March 27, 2019) – Injuries and damage were sustained in separate accidents on northbound 5 Freeway, Saturday noon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 4:35 AM, just north of Smokey Bear Road. Based on an initial report, the first incident involved two vehicles, while the second incident involved only one car.
The paramedics were requested for medical attention. They confirmed that injuries were sustained in the first crash. Fortunately, the conditions of the victims were minor, and no one was hurt in the second crash.
The amount of damage sustained in the solo-car commotion was still being assessed. The No. 3 and 4 lanes were closed while clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area. The cause of both crashes is not yet known and additional information will be released once it becomes available. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
