Multiple Injuries Sustained in Los Angeles Traffic Accident on West Imperial Highway
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 28, 2022) – Monday morning, authorities reported injuries in a bus crash on West Imperial Highway.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened at around 8:25 a.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 5600 block of West Imperial Highway.
Reports revealed that an eastbound Los Angeles Commuter Express bus struck the driver of a parked big rig. Meanwhile, the crash happened as the big rig driver offloads a scissor lift from the vehicle. Then, the force of the crash pushed the bus to its side.
Moreover, responders transported the truck driver and two occupants of the bus to a hospital with critical injuries. Also, paramedics transported two people with moderate injuries and two people with minor injuries to a hospital for treatment. Also, thirteen other people aboard the bus received treatment at the scene.
Meanwhile, officials closed Imperial Highway to give way to the investigation.
