YAKIMA, WA (August 11, 2022) – Tuesday night, a reckless crash near 1st Avenue and I Street led to injuries.
 
The crash occurred at around 11:53 p.m. near 1st Avenue and I Street.
 
According to reports, Yakima police tried to stop a reckless driver who failed to yield at a red light and hit an innocent motorist. The initial incident occurred on W Lincoln Avenue and 16th Avenue.
 
However, the driver sped away and a supervisor ended the chase.
 
Then, authorities arrested a 30-year-old man at the scene. Meanwhile, responders took his female passenger to Memorial Hospital for leg injuries.
