Lanes Blocked in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 805 near State Route 905

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 24, 2022) – Thursday night, a police chase that ended in an accident on Interstate 805 near State Route 905 led to injuries.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the incident started at around 7:40 a.m. Authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle that was reported stolen. Then, the vehicle driver refused to pull over and fled the scene instead.
 
Reports revealed that the suspect vehicle traveled in an unsafe manner before exiting Highland Avenue. Then, the vehicle intentionally rammed three SDPD vehicles at Interstate 54 and Highland Avenue.
 
Afterward, the vehicle continued driving southbound at Interstate 805 towards State Route 905. However, it collided with a blue Tesla. Moreover, the force of the crash ejected the driver of the suspect vehicle into the roadway.
 
Also, responders confirmed that the incident led to multiple injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
