Los Angeles, CA (December 27, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, a motorcycle rider was hurt after a horrific 2-vehicle collision on Hooper Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the disastrous crash happened afternoon at the intersection with Washington Boulevard.

Reports say that an LAPD cruiser struck a motorcyclist near downtown Los Angeles sending the injured rider to the hospital.

Authorities say that the collision occurred shortly after 12 p.m. at the intersection of Hooper Avenue and Washington Boulevard.

The crash, which happened adjacent to the Metro Blue Line tracks, temporarily halted train service between San Pedro and Washington Stations. LA Metro restored service shortly afterward.
