Injured in Fatal Rear-End Crash on Portland Avenue [Tacoma, WA]

Tacoma, WA (February 14, 2022) – On Monday, a driver and a passenger sustained injuries in a fatal rear-end crash on Portland Avenue.

A 53-year-old male driver in a southbound silver sedan ran a red light at East 44th Street.

As a result, the sedan struck a white SUV that was turning.

Unfortunately, the sedan driver lost his life in the collision. 

Moreover, the emergency responders took the injured SUV driver and their passenger to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are investigating the rear-end crash on Portland Avenue.
