1 Person Killed in Sacramento County Pedestrian Accident on Elkhorn Boulevard and Butterball Way
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (March 15, 2023) – Monday night, a fatal crash on Elkhorn Boulevard and Butterball Way led to the arrest of Ilya Shamailov.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash occurred on Elkhorn Boulevard at Butterball Way.
According to reports, an eastbound Corvette struck a man as he crossed Elkhorn Boulevard.
Also, reports confirmed that the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene. Moreover, the driver’s passenger suffered major injuries.
CHP confirmed that the authorities arrested the driver, 32-year-old Ilya Shamailov. They arrested him on suspicion of DUI and they booked him into jail after being medically cleared.
