Ilissa McClure Calcote Killed in Interstate 5 Collision [Federal Way, WA]

Two Injured in I-5 Fatal Collision

Federal Way, WA (December 9, 2022) – On Sunday, Ilissa McClure Calcote, 37, of Tacoma, sustained fatal injuries in an Interstate 5 collision.

The collision took place at about 1:15 a.m. on November 25 when was taking an off-ramp to westbound State Route 18.

Officers said her 2011 Chrysler 200 veered into the left shoulder, rolled, and rested blocking the ramp. 

Immediately, the paramedics rushed Ilissa McClure Calcote to Harborview Medical Center where she died on November 4.

Moreover, her two passengers, ages 21 and 30, both from Tacoma, were rushed to St. Francis Medical Center.

The authorities said the passengers were wearing seat belts but it’s not known if the driver was wearing hers. 

The authorities are investigating what caused the driver to veer off the road. Officers said the cause of the I-5 fatal collision is being investigated.
