El Monte Woman Ignacia Lucas Gonzalez Dies in Whittier Crash
Whittier, CA (June 30, 2021) – On Friday, 49-year-old El Monte woman Ignacia Lucas Gonzalez died in a multi-vehicle crash on 605 Freeway.
the accident happened at about 2:25 a.m. north of Rose Hills Road.
Officers said a Toyota CHR and Toyota Corolla collided into each other after a lane change
Then, both vehicles stopped and moments later, a Ford F-150 pickup rear-ended a C-HR, which was immediately struck again by a Ford C-Max.
Gonzalez was at the wheel of the C-HR, and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Moreover, responders took a passenger from the woman’s car and the F-150 driver to USC Medical Center in unknown condition.
Officers are investigating the crash.
