Police Arrest 49-Year-Old Brian Kane in Bodega Avenue DUI Crash

 
Petaluma, CA (May 07, 2021) – On Wednesday, a Hyundai female driver was injured and police arrested 49-year-old Brian Kane, a Petaluma man, in a DUI crash on Bodega Avenue.
 
Moreover, the accident happened at about 8:53 p.m. at the intersection of North Webster Street.
 
Apparently, Kane’s white 2016 Chevrolet pickup crashed into a westbound black 2019 Hyundai after running a red light.
 
The Hyundai driver lost control of her vehicle and drove up on the sidewalk. Thus, she sustained minor injuries and rescuers took her to a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, Kane’s vehicle collided with a traffic signal pole.
 
Furthermore, after the collision, Kane reversed and tried to speed off with a damaged front end and only three tires with the bottom of his truck scraping the road.
 
His vehicle also partially uprooted a tree. Witnesses helped him out of his truck and kept him at the scene until the authorities arrived.
 
An officer conducted field sobriety tests on Kane, and he performed poorly. As a result, the authorities arrested him on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and causing injury. They took him to a hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
 
He was later booked at Sonoma County Jail.
