24-Year-Old Hunter Fisher Dies in Tragic Car Crash on Little Blue Parkway [Independence, MO]

Independence, MO (December 13, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, 24-year-old Hunter Fisher from Pettis County died after a horrific car crash on Little Blue Parkway.

According to the Independence Police Department (IPD), the fatal incident happened at about 12:55 p.m. south of E. Truman Road.

Reports say that Fisher lost his life on Thursday in a car crash on Little Blue Parkway, south of E. Truman Road, in Independence.

According to Independence Police, the accident occurred around 12:55 p.m. when the driver of a 2005 GMC Envoy attempted to pass another vehicle. During the maneuver, the driver lost control, causing the Envoy to flip onto its roof.

The crash ejected two passengers from the Envoy and resulted in a collision with another vehicle. Tragically, Hunter Fisher, one of the ejected occupants, died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, the sole occupant, remained uninjured.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident. Missouri State Highway Patrol data reveals that since the start of 2024, 61 fatal traffic accidents in the state have involved overturned vehicles, accounting for approximately 8% of all fatal crashes.
