Hunter Dixon of Chico Dies in 8th Street Motorcycle Crash [Chico, CA]

Chico, CA (September 28, 2021) – On Sunday, 26-year-old Hunter Dixon of Chico dies, and police arrested 18-year-old Pesiaune Finau, also of Chico, in a motorcycle crash on 8th Street.

The crash took place at about 3:43 p.m. at the intersection with Main Street, wherein another vehicle was also involved.

Investigating officers said Finau’s vehicle was westbound on 8th Street. It ran the red light before hitting the northbound motorcycle driven by Dixon.

When the authorities arrived they found Dixon severely injured while Finau’s vehicle was in an unoccupied building.

Rescuers took Finau to the hospital for their injuries and was later released. Then, they arrested Finau for vehicular manslaughter and taken to the Butte County Jail.
