Humberto Morin Jr Dies in Tragic Head-On Crash on Highway 59 [Laredo, TX]

Laredo, TX (November 10, 2023) On Wednesday evening, 46-year-old Humberto Morin Jr. and 4 others were hurt in a head-on crash on Highway 59.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal 2-vehicle collision happened around 6 p.m. on Highway 59 near mile marker 818.

Reports say that Morin was driving a westbound Nissan passenger vehicle that veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an Audi SUV.

Officials declared Humberto Morin Jr. dead at the scene, while 4 passengers from the Audi were taken to the hospital. Moreover, officials say that at least 2 of the 4 passengers inside the Audi were young girls ages 10 and 14.

DPS is investigating the fatal collision and has not released additional information at this time.
