Pedestrian Dead after Crash on Montana in El Paso
El Paso, TX (November 17, 2023) – Friday morning, 33-year-old Humberto Escajeda died in a crash on Montana.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., a crash occurred along the 2100 block of Montana.
Police report that a 45-year-old man, driving eastbound on Montana and having just passed the intersection of Willow and Montana, struck the pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian, later identified as 33-year-old Humberto Escajeda, was not noticed by the driver until it was too late, according to police.
The driver, who remained at the scene, promptly notified the police.
Authorities state that the pedestrian was crossing in an undesignated area, which they identify as the contributing factor to the crash.
As of now, the driver has not faced any charges.
