34-Year-Old Ceres Motorcyclist Dies after Collision near Illinois Avenue
MODESTO, CA (October 27, 2018) – A man was killed late Saturday evening following a motorcycle accident near Illinois Avenue. The victim was later identified as 34-year-old Hugo Alvarez, a resident of Ceres.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 11:00 PM on Paradise Road. Alvarez was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson behind a 2007 Toyota that was preparing for a left turn. As the motorcycle attempted to cross the double yellow lines, it slammed into the left side of the vehicle.
The impact threw the rider from his bike onto the ground, causing severe injuries. Emergency responders rushed Alvarez to the Doctors Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver and his passenger were not injured. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
