Houston Man Nicholas Calloway Dies in FM 1053 Collision [Pecos County, TX]

Driver Hospitalized in Pecos County Deadly Crash

Pecos County, TX (July 22, 2024) Nicholas Calloway, 25, of Houston, was killed in an FM 1053 collision Saturday morning.

It was about 8 a.m. on July 20 when the collision happened near mile marker 384.

The authorities said a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by Donnavin Brown, 21, of Odessa, was southbound on the highway when it suddenly veered into the northbound lane.

To avoid a collision, a northbound 2024 GMC Sierra driven by Nicholas Calloway swerved into the southbound lane.

However, the Ford F-150 drove back onto the southbound lane and collided head-on with the GMC Sierra.

Responders declared Calloway deceased at the scene while Brown was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The authorities are investigating this collision.
