Injuries in Horse Trailer Crash on Highway 299
Lassen County, C (December 10, 2021) – On Thursday, four people sustained injuries in a horse trailer crash on Highway 299.
The traffic collision happened at about 7 a.m. at Big Valley Summit.
Investigating officers said a Ford truck with three people inside was hauling a fifth-wheel trailer when the accident took place. The officers indicated that no livestock was inside during that time.
Moreover, rescuers rushed three people to the hospital with major injuries.
Apparently, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to icy conditions.
When driving scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
