Horse Dead, Rider Hurt after Fresno Accident on North Avenue
FRESNO, CA (December 10, 2018) – A horse was killed after it was struck by a vehicle in Fresno near Malaga on Sunday, December 9.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the horse and its rider were in the area of North Avenue near Peach Avenue, when a Chrysler heading east struck them.
Officer Ryan Murakoshi said that the rider, whose identity was not immediately available, was injured but believed to be in stable condition.
Murakoshi stated that the driver was believed to be going the speed limit and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
