1 Person Dead in Anaheim Auto Accident on 91 Freeway and State Route 241

ANAHEIM, CA (September 23, 2024) – Sunday morning, a horrific wrong-way crash on 91 Freeway and State Route 241 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:25 a.m. at the connector road from southbound State Route 241 to the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Honda Civic that was traveling the wrong way triggered a crash that involved a second vehicle. Then, the force of the crash ejected a woman from the second vehicle onto the roadway.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that one person died in the crash.

Furthermore, the incident closed both the eastbound and westbound Riverside (91) Freeway transition roads to State Route 241 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
