1 Person Hurt in San Diego Auto Accident on Orange Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 12, 2023) – Sunday morning, a horrific vehicle crash on Orange Avenue injured one person.
The incident happened at around 5:20 p.m. on Orange Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tan sedan with a man on its hood collided with a concrete toll plaza. Then, the sedan driver and a female passenger fled the scene after the crash.
Moreover, responders transported the 33-year-old man who was on the hood of the car when it crashed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Then, officers located and arrested the driver and the female passenger on a nearby bridge access road.
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the injured man was the owner of the vehicle and he jumped into the hood of the car when it was carjacked by the suspects.
At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
