TUBA CITY, AZ (May 15, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a horrific two-vehicle crash on US Route 89 and Milepost 492 killed three people.

The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m. on US Route 89 at Milepost 492.

According to reports, a northbound pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed, when it veered into the right-side shoulder, overcorrected, and traveled into the southbound lane. Then, the pickup truck collided with a car.

Moreover, officers confirmed that three occupants of the car died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the pickup for possible manslaughter charges.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
