2 People Dead in Hesperia Auto Accident on Mariposa Road near Mesquite Street

HESPERIA, CA (February 22, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a horrific two-vehicle crash on Mariposa Road near Mesquite Street killed two people.

The incident happened at around 3:43 p.m. on Mariposa Road, south of Mesquite Street.

According to reports, a black 2016 Chevrolet Suburban and a blue 2005 Toyota Corolla collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced two occupants of the sedan, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics another occupant of the sedan to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Also, a fourth patient was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested an occupant of the Chevrolet for still unknown charges.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Mariposa Road, in both directions.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
