COALINGA, CA (July 30, 2024) – Sunday morning, a horrific two-vehicle crash on Highway 269 and Jayne Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:00 a.m. on Highway 269 and Jayne Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound Toyota Corolla failed to stop at a stop sign and crossed from the northbound lane before colliding with a southbound Hyundai Accent.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Hyundai died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
