2 People Hospitalized in Wildomar Suspected DUI Accident on 15 Freeway near Wildomar Trail

WILDOMAR, CA (August 6, 2023) – Saturday morning, a horrific two-vehicle crash on 15 Freeway near Wildomar Trail killed one person.

The incident happened at around 12:45 a.m. on 15 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Hyundai Sonata sedan traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended a Nissan Rogue SUV, causing the sedan to stop in the middle lane with all lights out.

Then, a Nissan Armada SUV struck the Sedan without its light. Also, the force of the crash ejected the male driver of the sedan and one of his passengers into the roadway.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the 23-year-old male driver of the sedan died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported the female passenger of the sedan to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.

Also, responders transported a total of six people, including one with critical injuries, three with moderate injuries, and two with minor injuries, to a local hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers believe that the sedan driver was driving under the influence at the time of the incident.

At this time, the circumstances leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
