MCALLEN, TX (January 14, 2024) – Saturday night, a horrific two-vehicle crash near Ware Road and Monte Cristo Road killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 6:34 p.m. near the intersection of Ware Road and Monte Cristo Road.

According to reports, one of the drivers involved in the incident escaped on foot.

Meanwhile, the 58-year-old female driver of a passenger vehicle succumbed to injuries at the scene. However, her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

McAllen Fire Chief Juan Gloria previously revealed that the victim who passed away was trapped in one of the vehicles.
