Horrific Traffic Crash on Houston Road Injures Deputy [Harris County, TX]

Harris County Deputy Injured in Funeral Escort Collision

Harris County, TX (December 21, 2024) On Friday, a Harris County deputy was hurt after a shocking traffic crash on Houston Road.

According to authorities, the horrific crash happened in the 6200 block of Fairbanks North Houston Road.

Reports say that a Harris County deputy sustained injuries while escorting a funeral procession in northwest Houston on Friday.

Authorities say that a vehicle cut in front of the motorcycle deputy during the escort, causing a collision.

Emergency responders transported the injured deputy to Memorial Hermann Heights for treatment of bumps and bruises. Fortunately, the deputy is expected to recover and be released soon.

Authorities issued a citation to the driver for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. The Houston Police Department is leading the investigation.
