CONCORD, CA (December 20, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a horrific single-vehicle crash on Kirker Pass Road near Hess Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:38 p.m. on Kirker Pass Road near Hess Road.

According to the Concord Police, a vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons veered off the roadway, and struck a fixed traffic sign.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the vehicle, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the authorities withheld the identity of the deceased, pending notifications to the next of kin.

Meanwhile, the crash closed part of Kirker Pass Road, but has long since reopened.
