1 Person Dead in Horrific Single-Vehicle Crash on Juan Tabo Boulevard [Albuquerque, NM]

1 Killed in Albuquerque Auto Accident on Juan Tabo Boulevard and Montgomery Boulevard

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (September 8, 2024) – Friday morning, a person died in a horrific single-vehicle crash on Juan Tabo Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 4:12 a.m. on Juan Tabo Boulevard and Montgomery Boulevard.

Reports confirmed that the single-vehicle crash resulted in multiple casualties. AFR Engine 16 (E16) arrived to find the vehicle completely engulfed in flames, with one person tragically deceased inside. Another individual was discovered ejected from the car, critically injured, and aided by bystanders before emergency services took over. 

Five AFR units quickly responded to manage treatment, triage, and transport. Given the severity of the accident, AFR Rescue 16 (R16) immediately rushed the surviving victim to a nearby hospital. Officials conducted an extensive search of the area for any additional victims but found none. 

The cause of the crash remains unknown, with APD continuing their investigation at the scene. AFR released a detailed report of the incident.
