1 Person Dead in Myrtle Auto Accident on Highway 142
MYRTLE, MO (December 3, 2024) – Sunday morning, a horrific single-vehicle crash on Highway 142 killed one person.
The incident happened at around 12:28 a.m. on Highway 142, seven miles northwest of Myrtle, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2013 Ram pickup veered off the roadway, crashed, and overturned for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash ejected a passenger of the vehicle into the roadway.
Moreover, Oregon County Coroner Tom Clary pronounced a 25-year-old man, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed the 54-year-old male driver of the vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare with serious injuries.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
