1 Dead in Twentynine Palms Auto Accident on Amboy Road and Bellking Road

TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (June 18, 2023) – Friday morning, a horrific single-vehicle crash on Amboy Road and Bellking Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 9:10 a.m. on Amboy Road, north of Bellking Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Sienna headed north on Amboy Road while speeding in a left curve of the road. Then, the vehicle drove across both lanes of the road before crashing into a dirt embankment, west of the road.

Due to the impact, the 51-year-old passenger from Moreno Valley who failed to wear a seatbelt was ejected from the car. Upon transport to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, the passenger was declared dead.

Meanwhile, the 50-year-old Toyota driver from Moreno Valley suffered moderate injuries. Also, a 30-year-old passenger from Moreno Valley who failed to wear a seatbelt suffered major injuries.

Moreover, a 4-year-old passenger in a child safety seat suffered no injuries in the crash.

Officers pulled out alcohol and/or drugs as a factor in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
