PALM SPRINGS, CA (January 29, 2024) – Sunday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on South Palm Canyon Drive near Indian Canyon Drive killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:52 p.m. in the 600 block South Palm Canyon Drive, at or near the intersection where Palm Canyon Drive merges with Indian Canyon Drive and crosses East Camino Parocela.

According to Palm Springs police Sgt. M. Delaney, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Palm Canyon Drive, between Camino Parocela and Sunny Dunes Road.
