BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 11, 2023) – Tuesday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on New Stine Road and Belle Terrace killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at 9:55 p.m. in the 600 block of New Stine Road, north of Belle Terrace. According to reports, a car struck a man.

When the Bakersfield Police Department arrived, they located a man in the roadway with major injuries.

However, despite life-saving measures initiated by the Bakersfield Fire Department and Hall Ambulance, the man succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation revealed that as the man crossed the roadway outside a crosswalk, a northbound car hit him.

Reports confirmed that the driver suffered no injuries in the crash. Moreover, the driver has been cooperative with the investigation.
