1 Dead in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 near Palm Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 18, 2024) – Late Tuesday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near Palm Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 lanes, near Palm Avenue.

Reports said that as the victim was on the freeway, they were hit by at least two vehicles.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by at least two vehicles on I-5 near Palm Avenue late Tuesday night.

Authorities at the scene reported that the collision resulted in a decapitation. The drivers involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

Also, one of the drivers was evaluated by paramedics.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
