Reports said that the incident happened at around 5:45 a.m. on Imperial Avenue near 68th Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a westbound truck struck a pedestrian who stepped in front of the vehicle for still unknown reasons. Then, the 41-year-old truck driver pulled over, called 911, and performed CPR, but to no avail.
