According to the Ceres Police Department (CPD), the auto-pedestrian crash happened at about 6:39 p.m. on Hatch Road west of Boothe Road.

Reports say that an eastbound gray Cadillac, driven by a 37-year-old man from Ceres, struck the male pedestrian walking eastbound in the eastbound lane of Hatch Road.

Authorities say that the injured man was rushed to the hospital, and he remains in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.
