1 Dead in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 5900 Guhn Road

HOUSTON, TX (February 7, 2024) – Tuesday night, a toddler died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 5900 Guhn Road.

The incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of Guhn Road.

Commander Michael Chaney with HPD said that a driver was entering the parking lot of the HomeTowne Studios at the location.

“They were driving through the parking lot and they turned around the corner to go to the back side of the parking lot. As they turned to go to the back side of the parking lot, unbeknownst to them there was a child playing in the parking lot and the driver struck the child,” Chaney added.

When the driver felt a bump, they got out to see what they had struck. When they exited, they found the child on the ground.

Then, the driver provided aid to the child until paramedics responded. Then, they took the child to the hospital where the victim was declared dead.

Also, Chaney confirmed that the driver didn’t show any signs of intoxication.

Furthermore, the authorities haven’t disclosed if any charges will be filed.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
