1 Dead in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 5600 Gessner Road
HOUSTON, TX (August 18, 2023) – Tuesday, a homeless woman died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 5600 Gessner Road.
The incident occurred at about 4:55 a.m. in the 5600 block of Gessner Road.
According to the Houston Police Department, a possibly homeless woman wearing dark clothing was lying in the unit parking lot of a restaurant. Then, a garbage truck pulled into the lot. Officers noted that the driver didn’t notice the woman and ran her over.
As a result, Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and declared the 47-year-old victim dead.
Her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Moreover, the truck driver stayed at the scene and didn’t show any signs of impairment.
