RIVERSIDE, CA (August 1, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 23300 Cajalco Road and Patterson Road.

The incident happened just before 9:00 a.m. in the 23300 Cajalco Road, west of Patterson Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck and killed the victim who was walking on Cajalco Road. M

The driver stayed at the scene. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived promptly and pronounced the pedestrian dead. CHP officers questioned the driver but did not make an arrest.

Part of Cajalco was closed off for the investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Riverside CHP office at 951-324-7210.
